Navigating grief this week has been difficult. Los Navigating grief this week has been difficult. Losing someone so close to me is a new experience.
Then this happened… I found this unopened card from dad - it was in a box in my attic addressed to Glenn. Postmarked January 30th, 2012- this would have been the very day our escrow closed on our home. Must have been missed in the moving chaos. 💕 Watching Glenn open it, felt like a kiss on the cheek.
My dad, my first hero, my friend and example of hu My dad, my first hero, my friend and example of humility and good character died 2 days ago. We talked almost daily. He and I shared a deep friendship and so many memories. I’m wrecked and heartbroken at the knowing I can’t call him or have breakfast with him until we meet again in Heaven. If you knew my dad , you knew he loved his family, his hometown of Paia, Maui and Angel baseball. He was a friend to all.

After some days away helping my siblings sort thou After some days away helping my siblings sort though a houseful of treasures, I’m home. This geranium clipping was taken from the entryway of my childhood home this week. I wrapped it in a damp paper towel and stuffed it in my 50 pound suitcase. So much to process. It’s good to be home and to have a little piece of life from a place that I called home for so many ages and stages of my life.
